Shortcuts

Gradient Tools' shortcuts are modal — they work while a painting tool is active. There are no global hotkeys to memorize; the active tool also draws an on-screen HUD with its keys.

While painting (all tools)

Key Action
F Invert the gradient (even mid-drag)
Esc Cancel the current paint
Right-click Cancel (or, in Path, apply)

Paint (Drag / Freehand)

Input Action
Click + drag Set the gradient direction (Drag) or draw the stroke (Freehand)
Release left mouse Apply

Radial

Input Action
Click Set the gradient center
Drag out, then release Set the radius and apply

Path

Key / input Action
Click Place a control point
Backspace Undo the last point
S Toggle Bézier smooth mode
Drag a point Move a control point
Drag a handle (●) Shape the curve
Alt + drag handle Free the handle (break the mirror)
Enter / right-click Apply

Useful Blender keys (not part of the add-on)

Key Action

Tip

You never have to remember these — every active tool shows its own shortcut HUD in the viewport.
